Research
As a psychologist, my interests are related to the pathophysiology of neuropsychiatric disorders, especially regarding the role of the sleep-wake cycle in the promotion and/or prevention of such diseases.
My previous line of research focused on the role of REM sleep in promoting adaptive emotional processing of previous aversive experiences, using an animal model of PTSD.
The aim of my work is to assess brain rhythms, abnormal electrical activity, circadian and sleep alterations in rodent models of autism. To do so, I use cutting edge high-density EEG recording systems.
