On 1st August 2024 Tara Spires-Jones took over from David Wyllie as Director of the Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences. To allow Prof David Wyllie to fully concentrate his efforts in developing the new Institute for Neuroscience and Cardiovascular Research (INCR) as Interim Co-Director, he stepped down from his role as Director of the Centre for Discovery Brain Sciences. Prof Tara Spires-Jones has taken on the leadership of CDBS with Prof Dave Lyons remaining as Deputy-Director and Prof Mike Cousin as a newly appointed Deputy-Director. On behalf of everyone in BMS I would like to thank David for his outstanding leadership and support of CDBS, which has allowed the entire community to grow from strength to strength.I trust that you will all continue to offer Tara and David your full support as they work together to embed the CDBS community within the new Institute.
