Congratulations to Dr. Marie Pronot (Cousin lab) who was awarded a prestigious Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship from Horizon Europe in the most recent grant round! The title of Marie’s fellowship is - Investigating the functional consequences of SynGAP1 SUMOylation at mammalian synapses, and is worth 220,000 Euros for 2 years. Marie will investigate how a post-translational modification called SUMOylation impacts the molecular and neuronal function of the key postsynaptic protein SynGAP. Marie is currently an Epilepsy Research UK-funded researcher and will start her fellowship on 1st January 2024.
