Nov 2016: CIP took part in an annual Native Scientist public engagement event with the Edinburgh German School giving young children an insight into the world of science. Image Hands-on experiments comprised of biology, physics, chemistry and robot technology. From simulation of volcanic eruption, playing with robot-dogs to microscopy and finding microorganisms within different water samples inspired the young audience for further discussions and ideas. Presented in German language the multilingual raised children, aged 3-12, were able to broaden their language skills within the fascinating world of science in a lab based environment. It was an amazing and fun morning for everyone and the German School is looking forward to meeting the scientists again next year. It was a lot of fun and I am looking forward to the next native scientist session.
