The Science Insights is an exciting programme to give S5 pupils a real insight into the work and life of research scientists.

During this one week programme the pupils have some hands on laboratory experience, the opportunity to talk to scientists about their own career paths and the ethical, social and economic implications of their work.
This is the first time that the programme took place at all Campuses of the University and many of our CIP researchers took part in it.
It was a great week and our pupils were very impressed by the research conducted at the different sites of the University.
Everyone really enjoyed the various research taster sessions, we had lively discussions after each session and the feedback we received was great!
The pupils got a very nice insight what it means to be a researcher and realised that a science or medical degree can open various doors for future careers.
It was truly a challenging and very enjoyable week for everyone.
