The workshops’ unique format is designed to be a forum for younger scientists, including PhD students, junior and senior postdoctoral researchers or lecturers and principal investigators at the very early stage in their careers. The workshop aims to stimulate an open exchange of ideas, as well as to establish potential future collaborations and networks between principal investigators and group leaders of the next generation. With this aspect in mind, the workshop is designed to be more interactive than most larger symposia, with a smaller group of participants discussing work that is either unpublished or in press.
