Research

My research focuses on the mechanisms of synapse degeneration in Alzheimer’s disease. I use the power and speed of Drosophila genetics coupled with Array Tomography (AT), a sophisticated imaging technique, to examine why Alzheimer's proteins, such as Tau and Aβ, are so toxic to neurons.
